Sacred healing chants presented by eminent Huni Kuin artist and craftswoman Ayani Huni Kuin with Tadeu Siã and Txana Bane.
Ayani Huni Kuin is master craftswoman and singer from São Joaquim, Acre. She is the daughter of the pajé Agostinho Ĩka Muru and the first woman to leave her village and represent her people. She has recorded a CD of Huni Kuin sacred chants, to be released in the summer of 2015.
Tadeu Siã is São Joaquim village’s cacique, professor, indigenous Huni Kuin school supervisor, pajé, and singer.
Txana Bane is an artist, musician, and historian, representing the Huni Kuin’s traditions and culture of the Jordão region to Europeans.
