Catalogue Co-ordinator für die Frieze Art Fair gesucht
Deadline for applications: 15 September 2014 at 1pm
Frieze is looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual to co-ordinate the production of the Frieze Art Fair Catalogues. The catalogues are produced twice a year to accompany Frieze London and Frieze New York and each publication is in excess of 500 pages with profiles of over 180 artists and interviews with artists participating in Frieze Projects.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a co-ordinating and administrative role within the publishing industry, an interest in and knowledge of contemporary art, an excellent eye for detail and a methodical and tenacious approach to working under pressure to deadline.
The role will report into the Catalogue Editor and will include gallery correspondence (requesting or chasing information), image handling (ensuring appropriate format and credits), editorial co-ordination (house style considerations, formatting, text and artwork proofing) and some database management.
The schedule will be dictated by the catalogue production timeline and will involve a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 days per week. This opening would therefore suit someone who has other projects but is able to be flexible and work 5 days per week during periods of intense activity.
To apply for this position please send a 1-page cover letter and CV through to hr@frieze.com with ‘Catalogue Co-ordinator’ in the subject line, before 15 September at 1pm BST. Interviews will take place on 22 September.
