The Nes Artist Residency is seeking an intern

The Nes Artist Residency is seeking an intern to organize the final stages of an exciting collaboration project in the region of Skagafjördur. Nes, the Solon Art Collective, and the comprehensive college FNV currently work together to promote the development of art and culture in the region. The intern will join the project in its final phase and participate in all the aspects of the project. The main goals of the internship are to develop networks between local art institutions, students, and creative artists. Duties will include – but are not limited to – curating art shows, organizing workshops taught by Nes artists and budgeting the final project phase. This internship is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to develop and coordinate cultural projects in Iceland. The intern should be available part-time from the 15th of September until the 30th of November. Applicants from various disciplinary backgrounds are welcome. English is required, Icelandic very appreciated. The intern will receive free housing and a small stipend. Please send a CV and a short cover letter to nes@neslist.is and Halldor@biopol.is by the 15th of August. Interviews will be arranged in late August. Icelandic Art Center
